Parabolas

The parabola, to me, is a dynamic curve. It suggests movement and sensuality at the same time as being beautifully symmetric. Structures built using the parabola have  elegance and strength.

For example, in the hull of a boat.

Once you see the beauty of this shape, you see it everywhere. In this case in a sunset, where the parabola is “above” in the clouds and “below” in the reflection.

Even in the shape of a discarded flip-flop.
