Sierpinski’s Gasket is a repeating geometric pattern created by dividing the sides of an equilateral triangle in half and then joining the mid-points to create another triangle, whose sides you divide in half, joining the mid-points to create another triangle, whose sides you divide in half, joining the mid-points to create another triangle, whose sides you divide in half, joining the mid-points to create another triangle, … you get the idea. It repeats itself over and over again and looks something like this
My version of the gasket is made from bamboo, it has sides 100 inches long and, as you can see here, it “floats”.
